I happen to be a proud card carrying member of the Yahoo Store Owner’s Club. I currently own three which have all been very easy to upkeep and operate for the last few years. I believe that it is the best way for brand new store owners to venture into the world of e-commerce with little to no risk. What I mean by that is I see a lot of people who are brand new to e-commerce just jump in with $5,000 to $40,000  stores being built and don’t quite know the ins and outs of the dot com world. With Yahoo Stores you can do a little bit of experimenting to see if this particular store or industry is right for you before you decide to invest thousands of dollars.

Take a look at the Yahoo Store Merchant Program  and read each e-commerce store choice which you will see that there are three types. I have two of my stores on the Yahoo Merchant Starter Platform and one on the Yahoo Merchant Standard Platform the difference for me is the fee that Yahoo applies for each and that the Standard Platform allow you to create gift certificates when the Starter packages does not. Whatever your choice you will see that all platforms are easy to set up and quickly populate with inventory.
